A Spring Investment

For a light, spring coat the trench coat is the perfect purchase. Instantly chic and perfect for the transition between seasons, I am excited to start wearing mine.

Unfortunately my budget doesn't stretch to the Burberry original but I was extremely smug when I picked this one up in the Zara children's section. At a fraction of the adult price, being little definitely has its perks!

Although London continues to be ridiculously cold-hibernation seems to be the only option-trench coats can be worn year after year; the military look is timeless. Perfect your look with a slick of red lipstick and some heeled ankle boots...

Wardrobe Staple: Disco Pants in Grey

When an evening out rears its head, the first thing I reach for are my disco pants. Being figure hugging yet forgiving, stylish yet ultra comfortable and of course very versatile- they have become one of my wardrobe staples.

Although I paid out £74 for my black American Apparel originals EXAMPLES, judging by the regular email updates I receive from my favourite online retailers, cheaper equivalents are still everywhere and will ease the guilt of the post-Christmas expenditure.

The grey pair I am wearing here cost me under £10 from Amazon. I wanted another colour to add to my wardrobe and having decided I wasn't brave enough for the bright red or blue variety, grey seemed a safer bet. You can wear them with a simple t-shirt and blazer-as seen, a tucked in shirt or a crop top/bralet and neutral colours go with everything. The only drawback of the bargain buys is that they tend not to have the back pockets and front button but for the price I think it is a sacrifice worth making. Check out Missguided HERE or Topshop HERE to get your own.

Army Jacket and Fur

Fridays in the office are 'dress down' days. Although I get some funny looks from my lovely colleagues (!) it is so nice to be able to wear whatever I like.

Still loving the military trend and camo jackets. You can buy them for a really good price on Amazon and Asos Marketplace so dont spend more than £30 on your purchase. For extra warmth I have layered my fur gilet over the top and on my bottom half I am wearing my beloved American Apparel Disco Pants. If you are thinking of purchasing a pair yourself it may be worth going a size smaller as they tend to expand as you wear them and sag slightly.

Goth chic is still dominating with black leather, spiked necklaces and creeper shoes everywhere. Mine are so comfortable and add a little bit of height without the pain of heels!

Vintage Cardigan

Another week at work means back to the office look for me. Luckily the dress code is fairly casual so I can get away with my staple disco pants, black jeans and leather skirts.

I love vintage clothes and now that the weather is so much colder, warm knitwear is a must. This cardigan is an old Urban Outfitters number from the Renewal section and my tan brogues are from Topshop. My oversized bag is an Accessorize offering and keeping on trend with the goth-chic look, the spiked necklace is from Asos <3.

Stripey Jumper & Disco Pants

If you haven't already invested in a pair of disco pants, do it! Although the American Apparel originals are expensive, you can find cheaper alternatives on Asos Marketplace and ebay. Although I have had the black pair for a while now, I am now contemplating getting the electric blue or bright red version, but I am not sure I would ever wear them.

Fur Gilets are a must for autumn and in-between seasons weather. In winter I plan on wearing mine over my biker and army jacket for extra warmth but at the moment, over a jumper is sufficient.

Stripes are timeless and as a print, never go out of fashion. At the weekend my mission was to find a stripey jumper and I picked this up at a charity shop for £4. My patent loafers are an old Urban Outfitters pair and my satchel is from Amazon.

Oufit Highlights of the Week

With the help of my Blackberry I have managed to gather a few of my outfit faves from the past week. When I get a spare min on my lunch break I can be found posing with my phone in the office cloakroom! I really need to make the move and get an iPhone for the apps and instagram but until then I will make do with what I've got.

I am still loving embellished collars, studs, leather, black and a timeless favourite which is currently doing the high street rounds (Zara & Topshop particularly)...leopard print.
