SO in between travelling around South America, instagramming my little heart out and catching up with everyone post trip, I have still been carrying out my freelance duties and blogging about my experiences. With a bit of patience you will be able to read my posts on the Gosh PR website shortly: http://www.goshpr.co.uk/blog.
Aside from that, I have been embracing all things English: afternoon tea, the great outdoors and Brick Lane's amazing vintage shops. Luckily my Birthday is coming up soon so despite my sorry bank balance, I have been treated to a new pair of patent shoes from Office, more of my fave Topshop Mom jeans and I'm now on the hunt for some new heels. Finding the perfect pair of jeans can pose a serious challenge and with Topshop normally being my safe bet, I was keen to try on their new 'Girlfriend jeans'. Unfortunately I was not massively impressed with the fit and although I like the cropped style they were not a patch on Mom's!
In food news, I am embracing my new found love for cooking and in between freelancing, Chicken Neapolitan, Quorn lasagne and veggie chilli con carne have been on the menu. Music wise I can't stop playing Pharrell's new album G I R L-track 6 personal fave.

Stacking Rings & Wedge Trainers
Two of my favourite trends of the season. The trainers work perfectly with skinnies and an oversized jumper whilst the rings complement any outfit.

A Spring Investment
For a light, spring coat the trench coat is the perfect purchase. Instantly chic and perfect for the transition between seasons, I am excited to start wearing mine.
Unfortunately my budget doesn't stretch to the Burberry original but I was extremely smug when I picked this one up in the Zara children's section. At a fraction of the adult price, being little definitely has its perks!
Although London continues to be ridiculously cold-hibernation seems to be the only option-trench coats can be worn year after year; the military look is timeless. Perfect your look with a slick of red lipstick and some heeled ankle boots...

December Highlights Part 2: When in Cambridge...
In the past, New Year's Eve has consisted of an assortment of failed plans culminating in something predictably average. Last year I found myself stranded in London post-fireworks and spent the majority of the night sandwiched in a crowd of the drunk and disorderly. The year before proved equally as disappointing when a house party turned sour and was swiftly evacuated. SO as December approached, planning something a little tamer was the obvious choice.
An overnight stay in Cambridge complete with a three course dinner and a bottle of wine proved to be the best new year I have had in a while. AND in keeping with the theme of English heritage, I had the perfect excuse to wear my favourite floppy hat and Barbour coat. Here are a couple of my outifts.

December Highlights Part 1
Having neglected my blog throughout December, I have decided to go through a few of my highlights and write (the abridged version) of what has kept me busy.
Aside from devouring the compulsory Christmas cake and oversized roast dinner, I did manage to find some time to do something productive. I do however use the term 'productive' loosely-it was arguably an unnecessary excuse to shop-but I felt my bedroom needed a bit of sprucing up.
A spontaneous trip to Ikea led to the purchase of a new duvet cover, a throw and a large print of the lovely Audrey Hepburn. Although I have only recently decorated, I wanted to give my room a more classic look with a hint of vintage-think Cath Kidston floral prints. Here is a preview!

Shaggy Cardy
Kate Moss and Michael Kors love them LINK and with the search for the ‘perfect’ winter coat as unproductive as ever, I have found a happy medium.
Digressing slightly, I am a massive fan of faux fur coats. In the winter they are the only thing that keep me warm and I love the glamorous, vintage appeal they encompass. Think Audrey Hepburn circa 1950s; nothing looks more elegant on a crisp winter morning than an oversized fur coat, a delicate pair of pearl earrings and a bold, red lipstick.
However, if you want something a bit lighter for the mild autumn days, a shaggy cardigan is the next best thing. I bought this Mink Pink number from Urban Outfitters last year and although I do not wear it very often, it can be a glam touch over a day dress or serve as an extra layer for a night out SIMILAR HERE.

Black Fur Collar
Fur Collars are a must for the colder seasons. Aside from the obvious (warmth!) they can really add something to a plain blazer/jacket. This one is from H and M and also comes in blonde and burgundy shades-I wanted to buy them all. I am wearing mine with an oversized vintage-style blazer from New Look which I got in the sale last year. I love monochrome colours for the winter and shades of dark grey and black are so versatile.
I am still loving the collar necklace trend, this one is an Asos piece, as well as the jumper and collar look (see older **POST** ). My shorts are a leather pair from Topshop; leather bottoms are everywhere!

Stripey Jumper & Disco Pants
If you haven't already invested in a pair of disco pants, do it! Although the
American Apparel originals are expensive, you can find cheaper
alternatives on Asos Marketplace and ebay. Although I have had the black
pair for a while now, I am now contemplating getting the electric blue or bright
red version, but I am not sure I would ever wear them.
Fur Gilets are a must for autumn and in-between seasons weather. In winter I plan on wearing mine over my biker and army jacket for extra warmth but at the moment, over a jumper is sufficient.
Stripes are timeless and as a print, never go out of fashion. At the weekend my mission was to find a stripey jumper and I picked this up at a charity shop for £4. My patent loafers are an old Urban Outfitters pair and my satchel is from Amazon.

Military Style
Army jackets are
everywhere and the military look continues to dominate for AW12. Khaki, black, leather
and combat are trending and the high street is brimming with styles
around these themes.
I got my jacket from
Amazon for £18
which is amazing considering retailers such as Topshop and Urban Outfitters are
charging around £50!
A lot of people don’t realise that Amazon sell clothes but if you shop around
you can often get some brilliant bargains Amazon Army Jacket.

Fur Trim Parka
Wearing one of my fave coats...a khaki number with a fur collar. I bought this from a little vintage store near Brick Lane last winter and fell in love with it, so I am pleased to see that parka style coats and millitary styles are very much in for AW12. Statement collars are still huge and I love the detail on this white shirt, teamed with the gold necklace.
The bag I'm wearing looks similar to the Zara holdall that is so popular BUT cost a fraction of the price from Accessorize (£38). It comes in dark blue and black as well and I love the style and shoulder strap.

Jumpers & Collars
These pictures were taken last winter by the lovely Ellen Lai but the Jumper and collar look is timeless and still very much on trend. This outfit will be making a re-appearance for this season!
White shirts with defined collars have become
one of my wardrobe staples. They can be worn in all
seasons whether smart or casual, and I love accessorizing them with collar tips and chains.
My
jeans are one of several pairs I own of the Topshop Super Soft, Super
Skinnies in Oxblood. The
material is not tough like normal denim jeans so they fit really nicely and I know I have mentioned it before but Oxblood is my 'in' colour for AW12.
